The Consequence of Being Summoned Simultaneously From Another World c50

Yehey. Yohow.
– Ouch. 🍤

Chapter 50

Now, we’re heading to room 302, but there’s something we need to do first.

That’s why we hid in the shadows and used cleaning magic to make ourselves clean.

Since this is a hospital, hygiene control is something that should be strictly enforced.

In particular, what we’re doing is, to put it bluntly, trespassing. We’re not going to cause any other trouble if we’re trespassing illegally.

So, we proceeded to the hospital from the rooftop and to the target ward.

We’re not sure if shoes are not allowed to be worn since this is a general ward, so we kept it on for the time being. If shoes were strictly prohibited, I’ll just take out slippers from the Infinite Storage, so there would be no problem either way.

I thought that once we were inside, we would be caught by the visitors, but it seemed that it was still outside of the visiting hours, so we continued our stealthy activities.

Naturally, Sasakura-san’s magic makes it possible, and I feel bad for putting the burden on her, but she’s repeatedly told me not to worry about it, so I’m going to be quiet and indulge her.

“Here it is.”

“In the old dramas I used to watch, they had name tags and stuff… but there isn’t one here.”

We reached room 302 without incident and Sasakura-san looked around at the entrance and muttered to herself.

When I did some basic research regarding visiting a patient before coming here, I saw that many hospitals have abolished name tags at the entrance because of privacy concerns or to protect personal information.

It’s probably best to check out this hospital’s visiting hours before coming here, but when I quickly looked for signs of people in the room, there’s only one person in the room, so that person’s most likely the victim we were looking for.

“I guess he’s alone.”

“The key… looks like the door is open.”

I nod to Sasakura-san, who looks at me with her hand on the sliding door, and she slowly opens the door.

Then we slipped into the room without making any noise, and then slowly closed the door without making any noise again, and proceeded to the back of the hospital room, where we found a boy on the bed, unappetizingly popping hospital food into his mouth.

Even now, the boy continues to eat with a frown on his face, not seeming to notice us as Sasakura-san maintains her magic so that people around us don’t find out.

From what I’ve seen, he doesn’t seem to be in severe pain or anything, and seems to be doing well for the moment.

Still, the bandage wrapped around his left arm insists that the wound he sustained was a rather large one.

“What?! W-who? How long have you been here?”

After checking the whole thing out, I signaled Sasakura-san with my eyes at the right time, and the magic was lifted. The boy who saw us, which to him would have looked like a sudden appearance, shook his shoulders loudly and backed away, pressing his small back against the bed.

I was reminded of that reaction that we should have went to an area not visible to him and released the magic there before showing ourselves.

I guess that was a bit too much, so I had a bitter smile on my face as I spoke to him.

“Oh, We’re sorry to surprise you. We’re not suspicious.”

“Shinjou-kun…”

I tried to sound as gentle as possible because the other person is a child, and I was sure that my words would calm them down nicely.

But unfortunately, it ended up raising his guard and made him look at me as if I was a shady person.

On top of that, Sasakura-san sighed and stared at me with a distant look.

I’m not an idiot, so I realize that our first contact with him was a failure, but what was the problem?

I’ve heard that it’s difficult to communicate in a way that even children could understand, and that children are unexpectedly sensitive to malice.

That’s why I said it very simply and honestly…

However, he was uncomfortable. When I turned my gaze to the window and saw my reflection in it, I was convinced.

Yes, muscles.

These muscle that I’ve acquired to disguise the results of my physical fitness tests.

For some reason, I completely forgot that this physical beauty, which I had driven out of my consciousness because I can’t get Sasakura-san to talk to me about it at all, was something that could give a sense of intimidation.

Also, I just realized that there were almost no suspicious people who approach me saying that they were suspicious, but rather there were a lot of them who approached saying the opposite. So I immediately changed my approach.

“…ookaay. I might be suspicious. You might not believe it. But what about her?”

With that, I put Sasakura-san in front of me which surprised her, but still made a wonderful goddess-like smile.

…Boy, you should be glade you were a boy.

Otherwise, my ugly mind would have played a little prank on you for the fact that you were given a goddess’ smile.

Without thinking about it much, I made an effort to smile kindly and continue speaking.

“She’s so beautiful and sweet, isn’t she? That means we’re good people. So just us a little bit of your story… ouch.”

“…I’m sorry. This brother here’s a bit silly. But I hope you believe me that he’s not a bad person, please?”

Sasakura-san interrupted my words with a light poke to my head, and spoke to the boy with a troubled smile on her face.

The boy must have felt that her words were much more believable than mine, because he looked at me and Sasakura-san several times in turn, and finally he turned to Sasakura-san and curtly nodded in her direction.

“Yes, thank you. Then, I’d appreciate it if you could tell me your name first, if that’s okay?”

“Well, it’s… Kakeru…”

Then Sasakura-san smiled kindly and quickly got the boy’s name out of him.

It’s a fearsome art of grasping people’s minds.

“Kakeru-kun, right? I’m Yumi, and the idiot brother over here is Yuuji.”

“…I’m the idiot, hilarious brother, nice to meet you.”

I’ve received a somewhat harsh introduction, probably because she realized I was thinking about something strange in the present, so I had no choice but to go along with it.

It was a sacrifice I had no choice but to make.

Well, it was worth it, and he opened up to me and smiled a little bit.

“–and that’s why we came here, to heal your arm.”

“…? They’ve already healed me, you see. It was scary, but I did my best. The doctor said I just need to stay put for a while.”

Kakeru-kun’s cautiousness was lowered after a brief casual conversation. He then tilted his head in response to Sasakura-san’s suggestion, and proudly showed us his left arm, which was wrapped in bandages.

It’s not surprising that for him, or an average person, healing the wound meant undergoing treatment and waiting for it to be completely healed. That’s why, it’s hard to get him to understand that we’re going to completely heal it now.

“No, no. When we say we’re going to heal you, we mean we’re going to heal you perfectly right now, with no scars… well, do you have any exercise you like to do?”

“… dodgeball?”

“Oh, I like that. But they say you can’t do that kind of exercise now, don’t they? I’m just saying that we’re going to make it possible for you to do it right now. What do you think?”

“Oh! You can do that?!”

So, when I explained to him in a way that he could understand, Kakeru-kun understood most of what I was saying and he bit into it with his eyes shining.

But the next moment, his face became cloudy for some reason.

“No, we can’t do that… even the doctor said it was impossible.”

“Yeah, but we’re not doctors, we’re magicians. We can do things that doctors can’t.”

He’s a pretty clever kid.

While thinking about it, I created a magic circle to create a ball of light at random and show it to him.

Chapter 49

I thought about it with Sasakura-san for a while, but there was no easy way to come up with a solution.

“In the meantime… let’s go and heal the injured kid.”

For now, we’re going to try to heal the injured child with the idea of doing what we can.

We’ll heal him without any after-effects, or even scars. It’ll be in a perfect state.

It could also help the child who caused the other party to be injured, because if he sees the other party’s injuries have been completely healed, it will be somewhat of a relief to him.

“That’s going to be a big commotion in the hospital when we treat the injury, though.”

Sasakura-san, who had been investigating the incident, didn’t seem to be opposed to my advice to heal the victim. She laughed bitterly at my words and told me the hospital where the kid might be.

As I recall, the hospital to which they were sent to was not reported, but since it was a shocking incident in its own way, in today’s world, it turned out to be easier to find than expected.

The timing is not the best, but if we go through with this, I’ll also be able to meet him personally as a result, so it’s fine for now.

Now, what should we do about the commotion that comes with it?

For now, we’ll meet him in secret to prevent others from recognizing us, but the problem is after he’s healed.

Should I ask the victim to help us act out a bit, or should we secretly heal him and make it look like he’s not healed with an illusion…?

But those could eventually be exposed and cause a big fuse in the end.

“This is it.”

“Well… it’s pretty close. Well, the kid who caused the injury must have been on the same train as me, so that’s no surprise.”

“From here… we can either take the train or bus and it’ll take us about an hour to get there.”

When I was thinking about how to deal with this, Sasakura-san showed me the location of the hospital on a map on the internet, and when I checked it, it seemed to be a pretty close place. Its distance is just enough for a good short distance travel.

Well, I guess the people who were summoned were those who were on the same train as me, so the returnees would naturally gather around the area.

Anyway, fortunately, today was a holiday.

And the news I was watching was in the morning, so I had time.

The sooner we can act on this incident, the better, so let’s get on with it.

Well, we could just think about what to do afterwards, it’s never too late for that.

So Sasakura-san and I arrived at the hospital 30 minutes after we decided to act.

Unfortunately, we haven’t come up with a good solution after all, but we’ll do what we can at any rate.

Now, the rooftop of the hospital is surrounded by a high fence, apparently open to the public, and there are several nurses, doctors, and patients who have come to get some fresh air.

And the reason why no one there has noticed us landing on the rooftop is because Sasakura-san is using magic specifically for that.

We literally flew straight to here through the sky when it would have taken us an hour to get here by train or bus.

I stretched my arms upward and relaxed my muscles, thinking that the air trip was quite comfortable.

I was approached from the side with a dumbfounded look on her face.

“Shinjou-kun, why were you running? You can fly normally, right?”

“Well, sometimes I like to move my body as much as possible.”

Yes, as Sasakura-san told me, I ran.

Or more accurately, I made a barrier in the air and ran on it, so it’s basically like flying through the air.

It’s not a problem because I can run at an unbelievable speed for an ordinary person, and I’m fully equipped with the stamina to not get tired at all at this level.

This physical ability is a lot of fun, and the feeling of running with the wind at a level that no normal person would ever feel is wonderful. It’s frustrating that I can’t explain it well, but there is a different kind of pleasure in the act of running than in flying at the same speed.

However, it’s necessary for mental health reasons to use this kind of opportunity to make use of my wonderful physical abilities, which are usually not used on a regular basis, as I feel that they are somewhat cramped and confined. It’s not that I’ve been running for pleasure.

And this time, with Sasakura-san’s help, we were able to hide our appearance and prevent people from seeing us, which is why I was able to display my strength.

I’ve been working on the Recognition Inhibition magic for some time now, but the magic circle I use is very noticeable.

And the Recognition Inhibition magic that was created had to be included in a magic circle or carved directly on the object, so it was a problem.

I’m not sure if it’s a good idea to use a magic circle for concealment.

On the other hand, the magic developed in this world is extremely secretive.

It’s too risky, that is.

“That’s what magicians are. They’re good at stealing things.”

“I’m sure there are… probably very few magicians who would abuse it like that… I’m sure there are very few.”

Sasakura-san tried to defend against my sudden thought with a distant look.

Almost none. Almost. Perhaps that’s the answer.

Well, let’s not go into it too deeply for now, but instead just laugh at it, and get on with our original goal.

“Now, where is the victim?”

“We don’t know the name, so we’re not going to be able to find him using the hospital room name tags… I’ll go ask someone who can help us out a little bit.”

Sasakura-san said that and ran towards a doctor on the rooftop.

She’s also quick to act. However, they have a duty of confidentiality, so just because she asks, it doesn’t mean the doctor’s going to answer honestly.

However, there is a condition that this duty is only for ordinary people. In other words, there is no such thing as confidentiality in front of a magician.

As soon as Sasakura-san called out to a doctor, she used some kind magic, exchanged a word or two, and came back early.

“Room 302”.

“Theft, insider trading, data falsification. Anything is possible.”

“Ahaha……”

Sasakura-san suddenly tells me the hospital room where the victim is.

Seeing how efficient she is makes me think of the dangers of that magic, and when I mentioned the crimes that came to mind, she laughed dryly without defending herself this time.

“Well, in case your wondering, there’s an organization like the police that specializes in magicians, so I’m sure the number of people who do really bad things will be kept to a very small number.”

“So they have never been left unchecked?”

Well, since magicians exist, it’s probably natural that there is such an organization to deal with them.

But if that’s the case, it’s almost as if we’re committing a crime right now, but when I asked her about it, she said with a smile, “We won’t be blamed for this, and we didn’t make a mistake that would be noticed in the first place.”

Does that mean that Sasakura-san is capable of getting under the radar of such an organization?

Oh, scary, scary.

Well, she’s a very conscientious beautiful girl, so there’s nothing to worry about.

So, looking away from the sudden darkness, I head to Room 302 with her in order to complete our original goal of treating the victim kid.

Chapter 48

The possibility that other returnees might appear.

That soon became a reality.

Even though Kubota-kun’s return remained a mystery after all, another returned the next day, and another the day after that.

The two newly returned seemed to have seen what A-ji had done before, and as soon as they saw me,

“Geh, A-ji!”

they all kneeled down.

What’s going on?

Is that the promised reaction in the other world survival group?

Well, it was a bit of a hassle, so I used a bit of magic to remove their trauma from their memories, and I passed all the detailed explaining to Kubota-kun and ignored them.

Fortunately, they hadn’t abandoned their decency in their survival lives, and they promised to use their abilities secretly within their personal sphere and to blend in their everyday lives.

I told them that there would be social punishments if they broke their promise, so it would probably be all right.

Well, if they stand out badly, the scary organizations that conceals magic might come to attack them.

So, as for them, well, it’s no problem to say that things are over peacefully and quietly. I’m at peace, even though I’ve been burned by the flames of jealousy over the fact that I’m dating Sasakura-san.

By the way, the magic for removing trauma was developed after the ‘belief’ incident with the League.

It’s a magic that does not mess with one’s memory, but only promotes mental stability. It only removes trauma to the level of seeing animals being slaughtered, and for some people, the effect is so poor that even that level can’t be removed.

Since it is only a bit of a psychological boost, it is weak on trauma directly related to injuries and the like, but if you’ve seen or heard something shocking, it has a subtle effect to some extent.

It’s probably completely useless magic to the magicians of the League. Even though I started developing it because of the fear of their mysterious beliefs, the effect was only moderate at best, and now it had become a powerless magic when used on them.

When it comes to getting rid of that level of trauma, it seems that the only way is to erase the memories of what was done to them. But then they would not know what they had done in the first place, so I decided that it would be inconvenient. Another reason I settled for the magic’s half-assed effects is the extreme optimism that such traumatic events will rarely happen in the future.

Well, since it’s magic that promotes mental stability, it can relieve stress and depression about misfortune besides getting rid of trauma, so it’s a useful spell at any rate.

About a week had passed since.

As I watched the news on TV, I let out a sigh at the fact that the world is not a peaceful place, apparently.

My returnee classmates didn’t do anything.

What’s not so peaceful in the world is the news that’s been on TV a lot for the past few days.

One of the children got a deep cut on his arm as a result of a fight between two elementary school children over something trivial.

Fortunately, the wound was not life-threatening, but it was apparently quite serious.

This is certainly shocking news. At the same time, however, it could be described as a sort of commonplace incident.

It was a tragic accident that happened because of a lack of self-control or lack of understanding. That’s certainly one way to look at it, and indeed some people make those comments.

But while there was a commotion about morality, education, and inadequate supervision, what was getting just as much attention was puzzling mystery of the situation.

The children who were watching the fight testified that “◯◯’s arm was suddenly cut,” and subsequent investigations found no knife or whatever that could have been used as weapon.

They said that even though the kid’s arm was actually cut deep, no one had seen a weapon and no one was able to find one.

The other kid fainted and was rushed to the hospital. When he woke up and the was asked about what happened, he was so frightened by the idea of getting close to people that he turned pale and screamed in a terribly frightened manner, saying “Don’t come! If you get close to me…!”

The victim also said, “I don’t know. I suddenly felt pain,” apparently failing to understand how he was injured.

“…I knew it was this.”

“Maybe.”

I nodded in agreement as Sasakura-san, whose expression twisted in pain at the news, asked me.

If the information that there was no weapon in sight, and that they don’t know how the kid was cut was true, then Sasakura-san and I have an idea.

If he can’t see the weapon, and yet he says that he was cut, then he was actually cut by something invisible.

In other words, by magic.

And considering that Kubota-kun and two other classmates had recently returned from another world, there was a high probability that the child who had caused the injury had returned from another world.

Alternatively, there is a possibility that it was caused by a magician’s child who grew up here, but that has already been denied by Sasakura-san.

According to her,

“No, if a magician was involved, there wouldn’t be all this fuss about it. The only people who become magicians over here are either children who are related to a magician by blood or orphans who have been discovered by a magician for their talents. And a child who learns to do magic will definitely be monitored. It’s important to do so, in case an emotional child uses magic and the existence of magic is exposed, so that it could be thoroughly covered up. So the chances of that being the case here is very unlikely when they’re making a scene like this…”

That’s what she said.

Of course, there is a possibility that the magicians failed to monitor the situation, but I think that the possibility that he is a returnee is very high because of my knowledge of the other world.

Considering the fact that the child who was the assailant was terrified of approaching people and based on the information from the words he spilled in his trembling voice, it was probably an accident.

It very common for a kid to not have fully developed reason, to fight over a little thing, and then scratch and injure themselves with it.

But the power he had was not normal.

“It’s kinda like…”

“It’s a sad story…”

Both Sasakura-san and I looked at each other with dark expressions on our faces at the unexpected news.

And I could feel an overflowing desire to do something about it.

We basically ignored the people who had returned from the other world.

That was the policy, and I don’t feel guilty about that policy in any way.

But that doesn’t mean I’m insensitive enough to assume that what happened to the supposed returnees was completely unrelated to me.

“I’d like to do something about it, but, well, I don’t know what to do.”

“It’s difficult because things have already happened, and the story is so much bigger than this… but you’re still going to do something about it, right?”

“Well, you know. We’re the only ones who have some understanding of what the boy who injured the other one was scared of. Well, if there’s no one else, I’ll do my best.”

However, the reality remains that that it’s not easy.

It’s not like we can solve the problem by first healing the victim completely.

Even if I erase the memories of the people involved, what has happened can no longer be erased.

If the commotion was at a smaller scale, I might be able to cover it up with a little more gossip, but at this scale, it’s impossible.

I really don’t know what to do about it…

Sasakura-san and I pondered what would be a good solution to the situation.

Chapter 47

You don’t know how you got back, Kubota-kun?

That means there was some kind of accident… or it was someone’s doing.

“No, I don’t have a clue, but hey, seriously, you don’t know how you got back?”

“Yeah… I went to bed at night like normal and before I knew it, when I woke up, I was in my room. I thought I was just having a long dream, but…”

When Kubota-kun paused, he checked his surroundings and then floats a ball of water on his fingertips.

It’s the same magic I saw in the classroom.

“I could use this, so for now I know it wasn’t a dream. I also thought I was just dreaming about Japan, but I guess that’s not the case, either.”

Is seems that Kubota-kun is not so interested in the cause of his return, as long as he is able to come back like this.

If it was just an accident, he was lucky, and even if it was someone’s doing, why would that person bring someone else back without informing them of the situation?

Considering that, it’s only natural to be optimistic to some extent.

Kubota-kun seems to be happy to be back in Japan.

That may have also influenced his lack of interest in the cause.

Or…

Is it that there’s something about him that he doesn’t want to remember, and unconsciously hiding his memories and looking away?

No, that’s right.

If you think about the possibility of someone’s doing, it’s possible that he had his memories sealed.

Thinking so, I created a magical circle for analysis to see if there’s anything unusual about him, but there’s nothing in particular.

The only thing I can see is the magical power that he himself possesses, and there are no other unusual magical reactions.

(Hey, A-ji. Kubota-kun says he doesn’t know why he’s back, and I don’t have any idea why either, so do you have any idea what happened?)

[How come he doesn’t know about it… I’ve been away from the deserted island for a long time now. I don’t know.]

(Then you can ask Luminous-chan.)

[Okay, wait a minute… she doesn’t know, she just noticed it now after being told that. She pretended to think about it for a bit, but as far as I could tell, she didn’t seem to have any idea what she was doing.]

(Okay, thanks.)

In case you’re wondering, I asked A-ji about it, but I came up empty.

It seems that Luminous-chan, the person who summoned him, doesn’t seem to know as well.

The pretense of thinking is almost certainly about something else, since A-ji says so.

I’m not the kind of guy who would misread the will of god.

“…I have no idea at all.”

“Well… I thought it would be nice to know about it from Shinjou, but that’s a shame. Well, I got back, so that’s good enough for me.”

“That’s a relief… come to think of it, what kind of abilities did Kubota-kun get? It’s possible that your abilities have powered up and you’ve unconsciously activated it.”

When I told Kubota-kun that I didn’t understand what was going on, he gave me an unexpected answer.

It seems that he is no longer interested in the cause.

On the other hand, I’m tired because of the prospect of trouble… but well, Kubota-kun was finally freed from survival, so it’s hard to imagine how happy he was to be back in Japan.

I’m not sure what Kubota-kun’s intentions are, but I’m going to ask him about his abilities to see if I can find an answer.

“No, I don’t think so, because all I can do is create and manipulate water.”

“…you’ve chosen a very modest ability.”

“No, I mean, it’s not cool that someone saves your life and yet you ask them boldly, right?”

No, unfortunately, you were kidnapped just for fun.

And, my alter body A-ji, rather than asking for it, threatened her instead.

Of course, I don’t have to explain it to him, so I won’t.

It’s important to protect your dreams.

You may realize that the god’s words are a lie because I haven’t been to the other world, but that doesn’t stop you from spontaneously realizing them.

“I’ve heard that the place I’m going to be spending my days was uninhabited, so I figured the best way to survive is by using water.”

“You didn’t doubt it a little more? I’d be suspicious of someone saying that to me, but…”

“I mean, she was so hot! If she wasn’t a god, then what was she really? You just have to believe, as a man!”

When Kubota-kun laughed at the reason for his decision, Sasakura-san asked him to be a little more suspicious, to which he responded with a very straightforward answer.

If she wasn’t a god, then what was she?

She’s a demon. And She’s a great demon with outstanding power.

In addition, the bewitching older sister appearance at that time was an illusion, and in reality, she was a beautiful loli girl with big breasts and a little devilish look.

… well, I’ll protect Kubota-kun’s dream.

In other words.

“I exercise my right to remain silent!”

“What, what’s up with Shinjou?”

“Don’t worry about it, it’s just like a regular seizure.”

Harsh!

No, well, it was certainly something I said after thinking about something unimportant.

Do I say unimportant things that often…?

Well, Sasakura-san doesn’t seem to be fed up with it, so I’ll not worry about it.

“By the way, is there anything else that’s bothering you or that you’ve noticed?”

“Hmm… oh, by the way, this uniform.”

Sasakura-san’s question causes Kubota-kun to be a little troubled, and then he points to his uniform.

Uniform?

…Come to think of it, Kubota-kun, you’re wearing a normal, clean uniform.

There are a few wrinkles, but that’s just normal, so it didn’t feel strange at all, but if you think about it, this is strange.

There’s no way he would only have that level of wrinkles after being summoned to another world and living a life of survival.

“… you have two uniforms?”

“No, it was just in my room as usual… is this a clue?”

“…I’m sure you’re involved in something, but I have no idea.”

It’s obviously unnatural, but… no, I don’t know.

The intentions of someone else on the other side of the line seem suspicious.

Did it want to send Kubota-kun back to his room and provide him with a uniform?

I don’t understand.

“Other than that, … I can’t think of anything more.”

“Well, I guess it can’t be helped. If you remember anything else, feel free to let me know. Oh, I forgot to tell you, congratulations on your return to Japan.”

“Oh, I’m sorry, I also forgot to tell you. I’m so glad you’re back in Japan, Kubota-kun.”

“Oh! Thank you, Shinjou, Sasakura-san! Shinjou, you’re an unexpectedly nice guy!”

“Unexpectedly? you asshole”

I said what I could say, and time had passed.

When we finished the conversation and Sasakura-san and I congratulated him for coming back to Japan, Kubota-kun was so moved that he shed a few tears and tapped me on the shoulder.

It was just out of politeness, but since that made him happy, I guess that’s fine.

Just don’t add unnecessary words.

That kind of exchange, as if we were good friends, was not a bad thing.

Kubota-kun was a pretty solid guy, too.

With that in mind, we dismissed the group and headed back to our respective ways.

On the way home.

“Kubota-kun was looking better at the end.”

“Yeah, I’m sure the person who was most shaken about his sudden return was Kubota-kun himself.”

I remember Kubota’s return.

I was surprised to see him come back from another world.

Moreover, Kubota-kun was forced to return for some reason and not of his own volition.

Anyway, it’s not an accident or anything.

If it was an accident, her wouldn’t be prepared to resume his life in Japan as is.

At the same time, it seems unlikely that it was caused by another survivor.

Even if Kubota-kun was sent back for some kind of experiment or observation, I don’t think it’s possible to pinpoint where to send him back and prepare his uniform at home, and I don’t see the point of doing that.

Ultimately, the cause is unknown.

And it suggests the possibility of more returnees appearing in the future.
Kubota-kun was a pretty sensible guy, but…

If other returnees are going to show up, then by all means, let’s hope they stay calm.

Of course, I don’t have any obligation to get involved or do something about it.

So basically I’ll ignore them, but I can’t ignore people who abuse their abilities to cause problems.

“I hope nothing happens”

“Yeah”

For now, all I could do was pray for peace.

Chapter 46

After that, I tried my best to explain it, and I was able to convince him that I’m not the same person as A-ji for the time being.

“It’s a great coincidence that you were summoned and split at the same time… Oh, then I don’t have to be scared for my bowel movement… thank goodness.”

“…I’m sorry. There’s no need to be scared, but I could use that magic myself.”

“Oh… please! Don’t do that!”

“No, he doesn’t use it that often. He’s not that crazy.”

“What?”

While I was making excuses, an unexpected voice came from beside me.

Huh? Sasakura-san, you don’t think I’m crazy for that reaction, do you?

…I was using it as a prank because I wanted to see her hold back her urine, so I’m certainly crazy, yes.

I’m sorry about that.

I’m sorry for being a little sad because I’ve been getting stared at before I activate it lately.

“Well, don’t worry, I won’t be using it anyway, unless you work too hard to do something bad.”

“…I’ll believe you for now. The you over there… A-ji used it only for those who were so persistent in recruiting him… I can still remember their despairing face when they leaked before my eyes… It’s crazy that you want that kind of ability, Shinjou. I’m amazed.”

“How rude! It wasn’t me who wished for the magic, it was A-ji!”

“You were originally the same person and you think the same, right? Then that means that idea was ultimately yours.”

Kubota-kun, who was apparently traumatized by seeing someone socially die in front of him, said something very rude.

A-ji was the one that asked for that, not me.

It’s not me, so I’m not crazy and I’m sane!

I insisted, but they hit me exactly where it hurts.

And the next moment, Kubota-kun somehow panicked.

“Oh… wait, that’s kind of a slip up. I’m not trying to embarrass Shinjou or anything…”

“All right, all right. My bad, so let’s move on. Do you have another question?”

“Well… Oh, yeah. So what do you know about this situation where I’m not considered missing while I was gone, but instead, I’m supposed to be overseas?”

The trauma is deep-rooted, apparently.

I let out a sigh and got back to the subject, and he asked me about everyone’s perception.

It seems that it’s what’s been bugging him all along.

I’m not sure if I can explain it well, since I’m not the one who’s responsible for it.

“I don’t know much about that, so it’s mostly inference, but is that okay?”

“Yeah, any insight will help”

“I see…”

I checked to see if he would accept my reasoning first, and then I started to explain.

I explained that for some reason my perception hadn’t been tampered with, and then I told him that the memories of the people who went to the other world had been erased, and their desks and such had already disappeared when I came to school that day.

As Kubota-kun himself was probably aware of this, I also talked about memory supplementation, explaining that there was some kind of force, a modifying power, that is working to ensure that there were no problems with the disappearance of a certain entity from the world, and that there were no problems with the return of that entity.

Of course, I didn’t observe that clearly, so most of what I told him was my reasoning, but, well, it’s better than nothing for the sake of judging the situation.

“While I was gone, the memories of me disappeared from everyone… it’s creepy, but… I wonder what it is really.”

“What’s more, you’re being conveniently supplemented in people’s minds with things that were supposed to have happened while you weren’t here.”

“By the way, even talking like this doesn’t erase my perception that Kubota-kun was overseas, so I think it’s hard to convince anyone regarding that.”

The fact that he was forgotten while he wasn’t here, or rather completely erased from their memories, seemed to have been quite a shock to him, and he seemed quite depressed.

But even so, he seems to be conscious enough to admit it.

Sasakura-san added some additional information to the explanation while feeling a little sorry for Kubota-kun.

Hearing that, Kubota-kun let out a big sigh.

“Huh… it’s kind of weird, but I guess I’ll have to go along with the story that’s been prepared, right?”

“Well, it’s a little weird, but it’s better than being missing.”

“Yeah, you’re right. I guess I have no choice but to accept it… but Sasakura-san seems to know that’s not the case even though her perception has been changed.”

Kubota-kun shook his head as if he had given up on the memories and perception of him, but he had some doubts about what Sasakura-san said.

It is true that her words would not have come out unless she was aware that her perception was being tampered with.

“It’s a simple matter”

Sasakura-san told us lightly.

“Shinjou-kun told me that his perception was different.”

“And you immediately believed Shinjou-kun’s words right away?”

“Yeah, I know Shinjou-kun would never lie to me.”

What is conveyed from her confident words was a sense of trust in me.

Sasakura-san’s blatant attitude made Kubota-kun feel depressed again… or so I thought, but he nodded his head in admiration instead.

“Eh, what’s that reaction?”

“No, you’re really close… this alteration of perception is pretty powerful, isn’t it? But I didn’t care about that… I just thought it was amazing, and I thought it was great.”

“I-is that so”

I didn’t expect to be praised head-on for how well Sasakura-san and I get along, so my response was sloppy my good relationship, so I’ll give you a vague answer.

No, but Kubota-kun’s the one who’s amazing. He probably liked Sasakura-san, didn’t he?

“Well, it’s also because Kubota-kun used magic.”

“Oh… that’s right! I know Shinjou-kun knows because he asked me earlier, but how does Sasakura-san know about magic too?!”

The words Sasakura-san added must have reminded him of that, because he asked me why she knows about magic.

Come to think of it, I told him about me, but I didn’t say anything about Sasakura-san.

“There is magic here, too. So Sasakura-san is actually a magician.”

“That’s what it is. I’m the one who messed with everyone’s perception in the morning.”

“Wha-what?!”

I guess Kubota-kun didn’t expect that there were normal magicians on Earth, and that was probably the most surprising cry of the day.

The topic of magicians came up just in time, so I told him about magicians, their organization, and the underworld.

Kubota-kun, who can handle magic now, might also get into some trouble.

The more awareness you have, the wider the world is.

The possibility of getting caught up in it, even if he doesn’t want to, seems to be high enough.

As soon as I became aware of Sasakura-san as a magician through the unusual event of being summoned simultaneously, I became more and more involved with her and found out that there was a world on Earth that I didn’t even know existed.

“Thank you very much for today. …Oh, by the way.”

Just when we were getting ready to go home the explanations.

Kubota-kun dropped an extra-large bomb at the last minute.

“How did I get back here? Do you have any idea?”

Chapter 45

What a mess.

A person who was summoned to another world and returned with his abilities intact?

It’s just too much trouble.

An on top of that, he seems to have been traumatized by A-ji over there.

“Uhh, anyway… can you tell me your name?”

“Huh…? Eh, what… A-ji, you forgot my name again…?”

Apparently, when he met A-ji over there, he was asked for his name as well.

No matter how distant they were, it must have been a shock to them that their classmate didn’t even remember their family name.

And now that he’s back in this world, the shock must have been great, because it’s like being forgotten again. He spilled out his words with a tragic expression.

Hmm, I’m sorry about that, but I don’t know what I don’t know, so I hope you’ll give up.

“I’ll explain it later, so tell me your name. For now, my name is Yuuji, not A-ji. But when you call me, use Shinjou.”

“Eh, oh… My name is Touru Kubota… Kubota Touru… wait why am I introducing myself now? I mean, it’s tough when your classmate doesn’t know who you are!”

“Aye, aye”

While apologizing just a little in my mind, I hurriedly asked him to tell me his name, and by the way, I didn’t want him to keep calling me A-ji, so I put a nail in the coffin around that.

In response to that, the man in front of me, Kubota, told me his name with great displeasure.

The words that were added were somehow very true, so it must have been a real shock.

Sorry, Kubota-kun.

I can’t help you with that, as I don’t really know anyone other than Sasakura-san.

“I think Shinjou-kun should pay attention at other things a little bit”

“I’ll do my best”

As a matter of fact, Sasakura-san complained to me from the side, probably sensing that I don’t feel much remorse for not remembering his name.

It was a word from a goddess, so from now on, I’ll consider paying a little more attention to others.

“Aren’t Shinjou and Sasakura-san getting along so well? And you’ve been so calm even though people around you haven’t reacted to us since a while ago…”

“Anyway, it’s all complicated. It’s going to be very long, so I’ll explain it later.”

“Let’s take our classes first, all right? And then, would after school be alright? How about we stay after school and talk about this?”

It’s not good to make a fuss, so I told him that I was willing to explain, and Sasakura-san took over the rest.

While saying so, she asked if it was okay. I nodded in response, which she also acknowledged with a nod, and then she made up a tentative plan and asked Kubota if that was okay.

“Oh, yeah. Anyway, if you know what’s going on, I’m not complaining.”

If the beautiful Sasakura-san asked me that, I would have no choice but to nod. Kubota blushed a little and nodded while keeping his distance.

Then, he looked at me and Sasakura-san alternately and made a ‘tsk’ sound in disapproval.

His immediate reaction and his attitude of being a little afraid to ask.

I might have somehow figured out what was on Kubota’s mind.

“So, you know, I’d just like to ask you guys one thing, and that’s if you guys by any chance are–”

“Yes, we’re dating”

“Oh, yeah… uh… a good fit? Right? “

“Yes! Thank you!”

Sasakura-san replied without any more hesitation to the words that he uttered with a severely nervous look on his face.

I think Kubota-kun was very proud of himself for saying those flattering words, even though he was upset about it.

So, to see him have a big smile on his face for being thanked for that, while being tossed out of the picture, you can’t help but feel sorry for him.

“Well, then I’ll go back to my seat and…”

“Yeah? Oh, you’re not supposed to use magic. Or talk about other worlds.”

“Uh-huh”

Perhaps the biggest shock of the day for him, he lost all his energy at once and returned to his seat om a hurry.

Yeah, Kubota-kun. I know how you feel.

Pull yourself together.

“Hmm, that was a bit harsh, wasn’t it? But the sooner we get these things straightened out, the better.”

“Yeah, you got the idea”

“Yeah, well, you know”

Sasakura-san muttered to me as she looked away from Kubota-kun.

Apparently she was aware of his feelings, and the words that pierced his heart was her kindness in her own way.

Yeah, well, let’s hope he can get over it somehow.

However, I’ll have to consider the resentment route as well. This is something I’ll have to take into account.

While thinking about this, I enjoyed the little time we have before the morning meeting chatting with Sasakura-san.

The occasional look of envy stings me, but that doesn’t mean I should cut off the conversation with her.

I sympathize with him, but enjoying the conversation with her is far higher on the priority list.

Since then, I’ve been checking on Kubota-kun from time to time, but he seemed to have recovered to some extent and was taking classes seriously.

However, it seems that he wasn’t able to keep up with the class completely, and even though he was desperately writing down his notes, his eyes were black and white and he would fall down on his desk every time the class was over.

It’s only natural since he was in another world for nearly two months.

On top of that, what he learned before he was summoned must have been relegated to a corner of his memory in his survival life.

The teacher recognized that Kubota-kun was fortunate enough to go on a trip abroad, so he told him to that he could slow down and catch up at his own pace. The teacher exclaimed that as he was able to gain more knowledge and experience than the others, it will help him greatly in the future.

For high school students, however, grades are very important.

It’s natural that high school students would be more concerned about their grades than their life experience, because the numbers are so clearly visible, they has a strong impression of what a student’s capabilities are.

Oh, I really feel sorry for him.

I feel so sorry for him that I can’t help but sympathize with him, even though I don’t pay much attention to anyone else except Sasakura-san.

Next time, I’m going to teach him what he doesn’t understand, so hopefully he won’t fall into the darkness somehow.

But the more I get involved, the more likely it is that he will fall into the darkness, and that makes me feel the difficultly of the world.

After finishing all of today’s classes, Sasakura-san, Kubota-kun, and I gathered on the rooftop to meet with each other.

“So, would you mind explaining things to me, then?”

It seems that he has regained his energy, and he asked me that in a somewhat better way.

Or maybe he’s just being cheerful.

Well, it’s much better than dealing with a depressed person, so let’s not worry about it.

“Ok. Although, I don’t know where to start…”

“Oh… it would be hard if I asked for a vague explanation… so for now, can I ask you a question?”

“That sounds better”

Oh, he’s surprisingly calm.

Despite not being able to keep up with the class, I wonder returning to his daily life after a long time has brought him some peace of mind.

“Then, first of all… why is Shinjou here too?”

“Oh, that.”

The first question is, why am I here?

Well, from Kubota-kun’s point of view, I, A-ji, was just over there in the other world.

Of course you’re curious.

But really, this is hard to explain…

“Well, let’s just get to the point. I haven’t gone to another world. It’s like the me over there, A-ji, is my alter body….”

“…………haa?”

Yeah, that’s right.

I’m sure it’s confusing because he has also met A-ji in person, and we are practically the same in his eyes.

I had a hunch that from Kubota-kun’s reaction, this was be going to be a really hard one to explain.

Though, that series will be open for pick-up by another TL as I won’t be working with it as much as this series. That’s all the announcements for today. Cheers!
– Ouch.

Chapter 44

A few days after Sasakura-san’s grandfather visited us.

For some reason, I woke up early in the morning that day, and I was observing Sasakura-san’s sleeping face.

As I was watching the goddess’ face and filling my heart with happiness, I was suddenly reminded of a classmate.

No, should I say former classmate?

It was one of my classmates who was summoned to another world.

He wasn’t a good friend of mine, but I still saw him every day at school.

He liked anime and novels, and I vaguely remember him happily talking about them with his close classmates.

…well, it’s all right that I remember, why did I remember it now in this situation?

Anyway, it’s not like he’s a complete stranger, so I might as well pray for his safety while I remember him.

It’s not uncommon for a person to suddenly remember something completely unrelated.

“…oh, good morning…”

“Yeah, good morning”

An just as I was thinking about this nonsense, Sasakura-san woke up.

Damn it, I was so focused on thinking that missed her wriggling form just before she woke up.

That precious form is a rare sight that can only be seen right before she wakes up.

You… Oh, I don’t know your name…

You, you nameless classmate!

No, I might miss another rare scene of Sasakura-san if I keep thinking in this way.

Let’s just forget about him.

Alright! Okay!

After changing my mood, I spend a pleasant morning with Sasakura-san.

We ate toast and bacon and eggs for breakfast and passed the time before going to school.

By the way, Sasakura-san cooked breakfast for me.

Since then, she has been visiting the school’s cooking club from time to time, and after practicing there she has become quite adept at it.

Thanks to her, I can feel the happiness of her cooking as well as of the taste.

She has also expanded her repertoire of dishes and she occasionally cooks dinner for me.

The food she makes with her love is exceptional, and my stomach has already been gripped.

Fortunately, it hasn’t been ripped off, so we can enjoy our daily happiness.

By the way, I also serve Sasakura-san dishes full of love.

Sasakura-san, who looks so frustrated but eats so well, looks so beautiful.

…sorry. Growth acceleration is really a cheat.

After such a morning act, the two of us went to school together and came to the front of the classroom, when I sensed a magical reaction in the classroom and looked at Sasakura-san who was also looking at me.

Then, with a little caution, I opened the door of the classroom and found a male student with a ball of water on his fingertip, showing it to his classmates and frantically explaining something to them.

“It’s amazing no matter how many times I look at it, how did you do that magic trick?”

“It’s not a magic trick! Why doesn’t anyone believe me?! And I’ve been missing for a long time, right?! So how come you have no reaction!”

“Missing… you were on a trip abroad, weren’t you?”

It’s obviously magic, but the other student seems to think it’s a magic trick.

The boy who is using the magic has a bitter look on his face and is upset at the reaction, but the other student still thinks it’s a joke and laughs at it.

My other classmates were also looking on as if they were excited about his return from abroad.

“I didn’t go abroad! I was taken to another world!”

“Ah, so your first trip abroad was like another world.”

“No! I’m not being metaphorical, I’m serious! I’ve been taken to another world!”

“Hey, come on, you’re being very persistent. I know you had a good time abroad, but you have to calm down a little bit.”

“Huh…! Damn, they won’t believe me… what’s going on…”

The student still insisted that he has been taken to another world, but his classmates though that he was just excited because he has just returned from a trip abroad. In the end, they didn’t believe him, and they just shrugged their shoulders.

Judging from what he said, it’s not the first time he couldn’t make the people he’s trying to convince believe him.

Well, I guess most of his family didn’t believe him after a similar explanation.

Who would believe them if they said they were taken to another world? Normally, it would just be considered as madness.

However, for me, even though it’s a hassle, I couldn’t just dismiss it as madness.

“… What does Sasakura-san realize about what that guy has been doing?”

“…I recognize that he’s back from a trip abroad too…but could it be…?”

I asked Sasakura-san for confirmation, and she said she also had the same perception.

However, she seemed to have noticed another possibility because she had noticed that I was acting differently.

Perhaps that’s what she came up with, and she was right.

Everyone around him seems to perceive that he was on a trip abroad, but I’m not.

I don’t remember his name because we’re not particularly good friends, but I recognized his back.

To begin with, I only remembered him unexpectedly this morning.

So today is the first time since that day that he has shown his face, and I know that he has never gone abroad.

“There’s one more seat that wasn’t here before, and I think he’s one of the people summoned another world with A-ji.”

“…it’s kind of scary hearing that, but I can’t get rid of my perception that he’s been on a trip abroad.”

That would mean that she believes my words implicitly.

I’m glad that she believes my words rather than the mysterious corrective power of the world.

I’m grateful for it, both in terms of feelings and in the sense that it eliminates the need for an explanation.

“Can I ask for a favor first?”

“Yeah, I know people think it’s a really good trick, but it’s not a good idea to keep it as it is.”

I asked Sasakura-san to do something about the situation, since I wanted to talk to him once at any rate, and she nodded and released her magical power around her, erasing the memories of seeing magic from our classmates, blocking their perceptions, and making each of them go back to their own daily lives.

The male student who seemed to have returned from another world felt the magic and hurriedly turned around and saw us.

And when he fixed his gaze in my direction, in an instant, his face turned blue.

“Geh, A-ji?! Why are you here?! Oh… look at that…? Wait, I didn’t do anything! I was just showing it to them to make them believe, not to harm them or anything! So really, please don’t do this, please forgive me, please!”

“… Shinjou-kun?”

“Hahaha… this is just a pain in the ass.”

The guy who called me A-ji was frightened to the point of being pitiful, and he began laying out excuses and begging for forgiveness.

Sasakura-san’s gaze was a little painful, as if she had something to say about it.

I couldn’t help but let out a dry laugh and sigh.

The Consequence of Being Summoned Simultaneously From Another World c43

Next chap up!
– Ouch.

Chapter 43

Sasakura-san’s jealousy was a crisis that came out of nowhere after the talks about A-ji.

Since I had survived the crisis, I was very lucky to have seen the jealous beauty of the goddess.

Being jealous is proof that you are being thought of, so it’s not surprising that I would be unconsciously happy.

By the way, while I was trembling with joy, Sasakura-san began to talk.

“What about B-ji-san?”

“Oh, I heard he had been training all the time until a while ago.”

Now she wants to ask about B-ji.

Well, she asked about the situation with A-ji, so it’s only natural to touch on that as well.

Therefore, I will answer this question as well, without any problems.

“A while ago?”

“Yeah. It’s about time the seal of the demon king has weakened, and the number of powerful and ferocious demons is increasing all over the world. I heard that they’re cleaning those up when they’re training for battle.”

Finally, B-ji started his career as a hero in a full scale.

I thought it’s very typical of the Demon King to strengthen demons and become violent.

However, Yuna-sama and the others there said that it’s not the Demon King that’s doing it, it’s just a side effect of the Demon King’s enormous and wild magical power leaking out.

It seems that the Demon King’s magical power stimulates the pores of magical power in various places… the places where the magical power is spewed out, and its seems that the concentration of magical power is the surrounding area has rapidly increased.

It seems that the demons in the areas where the concentration of magical power has risen took in too much of it and grew in power, but they couldn’t bear that power and instead they lose their reason.

“It sounds like B-ji-san would be having a tough time”

“Hmm, tough…? Well, I guess you could say he’d be struggling.”

“Huh? Because of the strong demons, right?”

Sasakura-san is puzzled by my words, which I spilled with a slightly unsatisfied feeling.

It’s true that the demons that run rampant in various places were powerful. They are so powerful that a person who can easily crush a big rock with his bare hands would struggle against them.

That’s why the demons are a real threat to the ordinary people who live around the area.

Therefore, the kind-hearted princess, Yuna-sama, who received the news of these powerful demons, was heartbroken, and decided that the people who can do something about it should move quickly and she would go on an expedition herself to clean up these demons, and of course B-ji accompanied her.

…when I heard the report, I wondered if this was the job of those in the royal family.

I think if they had a job in this situation, it would usually be about taking command of an army and having them fight for them.

Back to B-ji’s demon sweeping expedition story, the demons didn’t really live up to the hype.

“B-ji has been training with Yuna-sama in mock battles for a long time now, and maybe that’s why he can’t tell the difference between a 10 and a 100.”

“Uh…”

It was true that a powerful person who was capable of crushing large rocks struggled, but that was just one person.

The guards guarding the city worked together as a group to repel them, and the country’s army also acted on a company scale to defeat the demons that had gone berserk.

No matter how powerful the demons it was, it was not enough to cope with them.

And for a hero who trains daily with the world’s most powerful princess, who is close to being a powerhouse herself, and is able to endure that training in however way he does it, dealing with them was easier than crushing tofu.

To put it bluntly, excessive force is also a good thing.

They should have noticed it before they left, but I heard that even Yuna-sama was surprised by the lack of challenge.

However, as a royal and a black-hearted woman, she quickly rebooted.

[– Yuna-sama, as expected, said, “It’s not surprising… but this is a good performance for the people. Let’s continue the expedition itself.” Thanks to that, my (hero) fame has also spread and I also get to make some achievements. By the way, we’re on a trip together, but we beat demons all day long, and at the end of the day, she says “My body will have an accent if I don’t this, so let’s train!” I mean, I don’t have an ounce of sexiness in me that have to train every day to maintain it, but what do you think of this? I have no choice, so I’ll just rub it by accident during training, but it should be like — Ugh?!]

I remember B-ji describing the situation in a very tired way.

In the second half, he started complaining and started talking proudly, so I silenced him with a bowel movement bomb.

If anyone pulled out anything unnecessary, the sanction of bowel movement destruction is now a communication between us.

Thanks to this, I’ve gotten used to having a sudden bowel movement.

Even though I’ve gotten used to it, it’s not like I have complete control over the situation whenever it happens, so it’s still hard, but it can’t be helped that we want to brag about ourselves even if we go through such hardships.

It’s not like we’re going to be put in a situation where we’re going to die socially.

“…the princess of another world is amazing.”

“It’s different from the image of a princess in general.”

While recalling what happened at the time of the report, I talked lightly about how Yuna-sama acted and how B-ji was going along with it, which made Sasakura-san smile bitterly and express her impression of her.

Generally speaking, most people think of a princess as a graceful, beautiful ballroom flower.

But although Yuna-sama is certainly beautiful, unfortunately she’s not a champion of the ballroom, rather, she’s a champion of martial arts.

Even so, she is loved by her people for her beautiful looks and her kind heart.

Since that’s the case, then B-ji, the hero who married Yuna-sama, is not so much hated as he is respected for being able to deal with the love of that overpowered princess (hell training).

“But then again, Shinjou-kun and his alter bodies are living a very turbulent life, aren’t they?”

“Really. One of the factors behind that is Sasakura-san, though.”

“Haha, but that’s not a problem, is it?”

Yeah, of course it’s not a problem.

It’s because of that that we’re able to be together like this.

So I nodded and then I thought of something afterwards, so I decided to tell her that.

“By the way. Actually, there’s one thing that’s bugging me”

“Yeah?”

I don’t know if it bothers me, or if I’m worried by it, or if I have some kind of negative feeling about it.

“Well, you know, it’s just that, you call A-ji and B-ji by their first name, but…”

I was embarrassed to say that I felt a little lonely that only I was being called by my family name, and I also had the common sense to think that if she was going to call A-ji and B-ji, she had to call them by their first name to differentiate them, so it was only natural to do so. That’s why I didn’t say it out loud.

However, Sasakura-san, who seemed to have figured out what I wanted to say with just those words, turned to me with a big smile.

“Hmm? So this time Shinjou-kun is the one who got jealous?”

“No… well”

I couldn’t stop myself from feeling a little jealous that my love Sasakura-san would call someone by their first name even if she had no choice, and even if that person is my alter body in the first place.

But that’s a bit selfish, and I hate myself a bit for harboring such thoughts.

The reason why it’s only a bit is because I like it, and I’m open to the idea that I like it.

“I see”

I’m not sure if she knew what was going on in my heart, but she whispered shortly and looked into my eyes.

And then with a mischievous smile,

“But I won’t be calling you by your name for a while.”

She said.

My heart almost stopped, but I remembered my earlier mistake and waited for the continuation of what she was saying, which were probably there.

That prediction was correct, and it seems there was more to come.

“… one day when I have the same last name, I’ll call you by your first name properly.”

Those words said with a slight blush on her cheeks has only one meaning.

Huh… was cardiac arrest an inevitable fate…

Of course, I didn’t actually have a cardiac arrest.

But, well, thinking about it, it’s been a long time since I’ve passed out from happiness, and this time my face was heavily scribbled with a water-based pen.

Chapter 42

After her grandfather left the house, we had a movie marathon that we had originally planned to have.

We were in the wonderful position of laying on cushions and resting on each other’s shoulders as we watched a short survival movie entitled ‘Life’.

The story goes like this: one day, a group of people from all walks of life were brought together by a mysterious document, and the ship they were on was wrecked and washed ashore on an uninhabited island.

The castaways start to do the means to survive, some working together, some fighting each other.

Finally, one of them dies, and that’s the beginning of madness. The survivors become suspicious of one another and the previous cooperative relationships dissolved. With that, the struggle for survival intensified.

Anyway, it was a movie that depicts the drama of people struggling to survive in extreme conditions, but it ended in a mess because of the alien attack towards the end of the movie.

If I’m going to be frank, I have to say it was a piece of shit.

If you’re going to do it, do it at start.

“… how did aliens attack at the end and they all end up helping each other?”

“It’s not like the happily ever after is going to happen.”

The aliens dropped in some kind of pod, but the pods were disposable.

Even after defeating the aliens, the characters in the story still couldn’t leave the island and still had no supplies, so they will probably continue to compete with each other for survival.

Nothing has been solved.

Naturally, this movie is one that was buried in the corner of the rental shop, and the movie didn’t even get a rating on any of the major review sites when I searched for it online. There were only a few comments on a few private sites here and there that said it was crap.

The reason why I rented it was for a very random reason: to see what kind of life the group summoned A-ji was living.

“Speaking of which, Shinjou-kun’s… alter body? I mean, A-ji-san? How has he been lately?”

Sasakura-san asked me about A-ji, wondering how to describe it, probably because she remembered it from watching the movie.

I don’t know how to describe it properly either. A-ji and B-ji.

I’d say they’re both offshoots, but it’s not like I’m controlling them, and It doesn’t sit well with me to think of them as different people.

Even if they were different people, it’s strange to call them friends, and it’s also strange to call them brothers.

Well, A-ji is A-ji, and B-ji is B-ji.

Anyway, let’s answer her question.

“I heard that A-ji has already left his survival life on a deserted island and crossed over to the continent. There are ordinary people there, and I hear they are sightseeing around the place now.”

Naturally, he said, Luminous-chan was with him on that sightseeing trip.

I regretfully remember every word of his story.

[“To the Continent? If you’re going, I’m going too. I can’t explain it well… but I don’t want to leave you,” Luminous-chan said! And with a little blush on her cheeks! You know what I mean? Isn’t it great?! Well, it’s possible to get a bride immediately like B-ji, or have a sudden turn of events like Yuuji, but this feeling of gradually getting closer and closer is very appealing. It’s that kind of process that’s important. Oh, you don’t know how it feels? I’m sorry, tehehe! Ugh…?!]

A-ji was so annoying that I could not help but destroy his bowel movement with all my might.

I’m sure he had a lot of things on his mind since both B-ji and I were getting closer and closer in our relationships.

I mean, it was a relationship of the heart that deepened, but physically, both B-ji and I were not quite there.

Well, I feel like I’ve made some progress physically, but I’m still pure.

If I had to describe it in one word, I’d say the relationship is soft. It’s very nice.

“What about the others?”

“They just left them there.”

Yes, there are survivors besides A-ji.

Although the number of people has somewhat decreased due to being attacked by demons and fighting among the survivors, they seem to have split off into several groups and are living patiently while being cautious of each other.

They were in a harsh environment for survival, so perhaps that’s why groups were born.

By the way, A-ji only acts with Luminous-chan and does not belong to any group.

Even when he was invited to join a group, he ignored it and immediately socially killed anyone who threatened him.

It’s an uninhabited island, so you’d think the damage won’t be much, but rather because it’s an uninhabited island, the community is small and social deaths are quite heavy.

Well, that’s how the survivors were doing, and there was no way they could go to the continent together in such a state.

By the way, the reason why he didn’t kill them physically was because Luminous-chan said she wanted to see them struggle alive, but he didn’t do it because he wanted to.

It seems that he gave up Search and Destroy early on.

“You sound unconcerned, but I don’t blame you….”

“Well, if I do say so myself, it’s because I’m not interested in other people.”

God’s happiness is absolute. If there is a god there, that’s all that matters.

Maybe because of this thinking that I am extremely uninterested in people other than my god. I am aware of this and I have no intention of changing it.

“Well, it’s a different environment… but it’s complicated.”

“Eh?”

Sasakura-san, who doesn’t seem to feel bad about it, shrugs her shoulders and purses her mouth a little and says so.

“This A-ji-san… has the same memories and the same thoughts as Shinjou-kun, right? But he likes someone named Luminous-san, doesn’t he?”

“Uh… I mean, what can I say? If Luminous… -san appeared before us now, I would never fall in love with her, nor would I be attracted to her, because Sasakura-san is here.”

“Okay”

This, apparently, made her a little jealous.

Realizing this, I squirmed and strung together a series of words to make excuses.

She nodded to it and set her gaze squarely on me to urge me to continue.

“So, on the other hand, if A-ji were to meet Sasakura-san at this moment, his reaction would definitely be like, ‘Wow, it’s Sasakura-san, it’s been a while.’ No, that’s why there will be no switch even if that happened… or, well, anyway, I would never change my mind about Sasakura-san, no matter what…”

“… hmm, 40 points!”

I couldn’t put the words together in such a way that I could get the meaning across and instead my words trailed off.

Sasakura-san, who was watching me with narrowed eyes for a few seconds, suddenly smiled and gave me a score.

“Uhm”

“As an excuse, it’s half-baked and not very good. Well, I don’t doubt Shinjou-kun’s feelings, though.”

“…am I forgiven?”

“I’m not angry in the first place, and I won’t change my mind either.”

Apparently it was just a bit of a fluke, kinda like those hidden camera shows.

I was relieved to get a soft smile on her face.

“But it’s true that I was a little jealous.”

“Well… from now on, I’ll continue to love you as much as I can.”

“Good… Fufu”

After that, however, I was surprised again with what I was told, and I was a little bit sulky afterwards.

But that’s because I’m fawning over her jealousy, not because I’m guilty.

After calming down a bit, I swore continue to love her for a long time to come, and this time she gave a satisfied smile, as if I had received a passing grade.

The Consequence of Being Summoned Simultaneously From Another World c41

Here’s the chap~ Just a bit of clarification on terms regarding ‘other world’ and ‘underworld’. They are technically the same and refer to the same thing, but I just use the term ‘underworld’ to refer to the ‘other world that appears on earth’
– Ouch.

Chapter 41

I was listening as her grandfather began his gracious lecture on other worlds, but I couldn’t understand it from the beginning and twisted my head around.

How could there not be more than one underworld?

“Eh, but doesn’t the underworlds appear in many places?”

“…more accurately, it is said to occur all over the world. Strictly speaking, it is not an underworld that is appearing, but rather an entrance to the underworld that is appearing. We call it a minor world.”

When I asked him a question I had in mind, he explained it in more detail with a regretful look on his face.

Oh, did he give a sorry look to a poorly developed student?

Or was the reaction I was looking for different? Would I have preferred if he felt more surprised?

Anyway, this time the explanation was pretty clear.

I see, an entrance appears. If that is the case, it may indeed be possible to say that the underworlds are one rather than multiple.

Then this ridiculously large other world can be explained, even though it was made by an individual.

It’s a very large area for me to quickly make by myself. I didn’t think too much about it because I thought it’s probably due to the hero’s OP buffs.

But isn’t it a little strange?

“How about the League headquarters? It felt like it was an independent place in itself, though.”

It’s just something I felt, but that underworld was really just a headquarters and not an expansive place.

If the general underworld was only an entrance, then I think this would be strange.

“That’s just an entrance, after all. It’s just a doorway, but we’ve cut it out to this side.”

“An entrance…”

“Cut it out…?”

Sasakura-san and I twisted our heads together.

The League headquarters, which is a fairly large space, seems to be just am entrance, but what does it mean to cut it out?

No, isn’t that Torii gate the entrance in the first place?

However, since he said it so clearly, the space where the League headquarters is located must itself be the entrance.

“Hmm, I guess I confused you. Let’s try to explain it in terms of something else. First, let’s say there’s a mansion with a gate and a garden. And let’s say the inside of the house is another world. In this case, the gate is the entrance to the place where the League headquarters is located, which is the Torii gate. Now if you look at it, from that gate, through the garden, to the front door…”

“Oh, I see”

“That’s the gateway to the underworld”

Looks like it’s simple.

I never came up with the idea that the entrance was like a door-like separation between the inside and the outside.

That means the League headquarters is inside the gate, but it acts as a barricade in front of the front door, and the castle was a structure in the garden.

That makes sense.

Yeah, but it’s like they’ve just barricaded the front door with a barrier.

“In that case, isn’t this place just another entrance to the underworld, or a minor world, and the outside is a part of the underworld?”

“No, it’s not. The League headquarters is one that is built from taking a piece of land in the underworld, cutting off its connection with the rest of the underworld and fixing it. This one is merely creating a safe zone in the middle of another world.”

Hmm.

Apparently, the minor world where the League headquarters was located was more completely isolated than I thought.

I don’t think it’s at the level of blocking off the front door or anything like that.

On the other hand, this place I created is where I forced myself into the mansion and occupied a part of it.

But since the underworld is beyond the minor world and one can go there, I don’t think what I did is such a strange story.

And yet, the reason her grandfather was so surprised… is because he didn’t go through a minor world?

“So it’s not that there’s something wrong with this place, but that it’s directly connected to the underworld?”

“Hmm, I see. What Shinjou-kun made wasn’t another world, but an entrance. It’s also a doorway that leads directly to the underworld.”

Thinking about it, I whispered to myself, and Sasakura-san seemed to flash of inspiration from what I said.

The entrance… I see.

In the first place, I used Summoning and Repatriation Magic as a reference.

In other words, it was to connect points.

“Ah, I see. Then maybe the naturally occurring entrances are a bit unstable, and that’s why the minor world is created between us and the underworld.”

“Then maybe the entrance Shinjou-kun made is much more advanced.”

“…you’re both very perceptive. More importantly, you made it? An entrance to the underworld out of thin air?”

Then her grandfather, who had Sasakura-san and I exchanging ideas, opened his mouth, looking somewhat depressed, and then asked in disbelief if I had made the entrance to another world.

Of course, there is no reason to lie, so I nodded, and her grandfather froze for a few seconds and relaxed right away.

“…or indeed, I suppose that’s certainly so. Was it odd to think that it occurred naturally?”

“Oh, I’m sorry”

“No, it’s just that I had a firm way of thinking. Don’t mind me.”

I unintentionally apologized to her grandfather, who mumbled somewhat tiredly and somewhat resignedly, and he waved his hand and adjusted his stance, saying the apology is not necessary.

“But we must take this to our grave. They might get greedy if they hear about this. It would be better if you don’t talk about it this without thinking.”

Then both Sasakura-san and I nodded repeatedly to the advice given to us with serious eyes to convey our intentions.

I don’t want any trouble, especially magician-related trouble, so let’s not talk about the otherworld apartment in the future.

If we can create a doorway that can directly go to the underworld, we don’t want people to expect that we’ll be able to isolate a new minor world or something.

“And one more thing. You know as well as I do that the underworld is strongly influenced by thought. But it’s not only things like this room that these thoughts can create.”

“What do you mean?”

“The demons are also affected. All kinds of thoughts and information flow into the underworld from our world, which is why there are many odd-shaped demons. But rarely, there are demons that are well-shaped. They can take the form of a beast, or a human being… they are usually much stronger than other demons. Be careful.”

On the last note, I received some very important information.

Apparently, not all demons are deformed.

And if the information and thoughts of this world are flowing into them, it’s not impossible, but there’s a chance they’re the demons we know from games and novels.

What if it’s a dragon…

Wait, this idea is already crazy.

“Well, it seems that even in the normal course of events, thoughts do flow into the underworld, but don’t the thoughts of magicians who come directly to the underworld, or even to the minor worlds, have an even stronger effect?”

“Well, In this place… it seems that the demons outside don’t show any reaction, so there’s no leak going out, but if it’s outside, the demons in front of you can be influenced by your thoughts and become more powerful all of a sudden. Of course, there are countermeasures. You just need to wear magical power like I was doing earlier.”

I see, that’s why he was wearing magical power.

That’s probably why Sasakura-san was taught to wear magical power when she was getting ready to fight.

“How much magical power should I put out when I wear it?”

“You can wear it with no gaps. Rather, strong magical powers tend to be mixed with strong thoughts, so it’s better to wear as little magical power as possible.”

“Oh”

I asked him about wearing magical powers, and he said it’s more important to cover the whole body than consider the strength of the covering.

Sasakura-san let out a voice at Her grandfather’s words.

Yeah, I guess the reason why the demons outside noticed her before was because they could sense her magical power as well as her thoughts.

No, it was really good that I didn’t go outside because I was aware that this was a disgusting place.

If I had gone out without knowing this, the area would have been overrun with powerful demons.

In this way, he changed our perception of the other world as the lecture ended, and he left the house saying that he didn’t want to disturb us any longer.
